It is a light yellow oily liquid and is soluble in alcohol, ketone, ester, ether, benzene, toluene, Xylene is easily soluble in chloroform and carbon tetrachloride. It is mainly used as a flame retardant and petroleum additive. It is widely used in rubber, cellulose acetate, nitrocellulose varnish, ethyl fiber paint, polyvinyl chloride, polyhydrogen ester, Polyvinyl acetate and phenolic resin, etc.
